Safari itinerary

4:00 AM – Departure from Nairobi

Pick-up from your hotel or agreed location in Nairobi. Travel towards the Masai Mara in a comfortable 4×4 Land Cruiser, enjoying scenic views of the Great Rift Valley along the way.

Around 6:30–7:00 AM – Breakfast stop in Narok

Stop in Narok town for breakfast and refreshments at your own cost before continuing to the reserve.

Morning – Enter the Masai Mara National Reserve

Begin your game drive across the spectacular savannah in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, giraffes, zebras and other wildlife. Enjoy opportunities for photography and wildlife viewing with an experienced safari guide.

Late morning – Mara River visit

Visit a designated viewing area along the Mara River, where you may spot hippos resting in the water and crocodiles along the riverbanks. Enjoy a short walk only in an authorised, supervised viewing area, following the guide’s safety instructions.

12:30–1:30 PM – Lunch at Keekorok Lodge

Enjoy lunch at the famous Keekorok Lodge, with time to relax and take in the lodge’s beautiful surroundings. Lunch is subject to prior arrangement and confirmation with the lodge.

Afternoon – Extended game drive

Continue exploring the reserve in search of more wildlife. There is a chance to encounter the Big Five: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino. Sightings depend on animal movements and cannot be guaranteed.

Late afternoon/evening – Return to Nairobi

Exit the reserve and begin the journey back to Nairobi, with an estimated arrival late in the evening depending on road conditions, wildlife sightings and time spent in the reserve.
